background practice/adoptable try out name: Tarandus (animal of the northern countries) age: sub-adult gender:male personality: very protective of his territory, will not attack unless he is threatened, or feels he should be cautious. Generally just attempts to avoid fights and injury to himself, and will do as little as possible in order to avoid harm to himself. habitat: Boreal zone/taiga - area of dense coniferous growth, mosses and lichen are plentiful , and act as the main source of ground cover. * Tarandus lives in the lower Boreal zone , and benefits from the warmer weather and various plants found within this area. Berries and lichens are his main food staple, though he does substitute this with the occassional bird or small mammal when presented the opportunity. A small creek runs along the outer border of his claimed area, and the Spitter can often be found around it. With his creek being a veritable watering hole, many types of creatures flock there during the warmer months and summers. Tarandus generally leaves the visitors to his territory alone, lest they be bothering him, or consuming his precious sources of food. This Spitter lives far from humans, and doesn't have any fear or interest in them- occasionally having to smell them is about as worse as its gotten.
